Hazel branch with Ivy

Hazel branch with Ivy

£10.00

A section of hazel branch entwined with a thick frond of ivy. Naturally dried, this piece includes several sections of the original moss.

The textures and colours are lovely and you can clearly see the ivy’s ariel roots, which enabled this vigorous climber to grow up its host tree.

At a manageable, yet fairly substantial size of 86cm long with a 12 cm diameter, there are so many things you could do with this.

NOTE: The images are of the exact piece - what you see here is what you will receive.

DID YOU KNOW?

Ivy plant has two types of roots. Subterranean roots extend into the soil, attaching the plant to the ground and absorbing water and nutrients from the earth. Clumps of adventitious or aerial roots are located at intervals along the climbing stems. The function of these roots (or rootlets, as they are sometimes called) is to attach the plant to a surface as it climbs.
