A really lovely section of a hollow tree trunk, complete with an open knot hole in the side. Further texture and interest are added in the form of its original moss and ivy. This piece has many potential uses, for example a vase, planter or a fairy house. As always, the only limit is your imagination.
For context, I have included an image of the piece in Dormouse Wood, shortly after the tree had been felled. This was done as part of our work to open up the old rides. The tree was hollow in the core and at a steep angle across the potential path so would probably have fallen soon anyway.
Dimensions are approximately 27cm wide by 22cm deep and 23cm high.
