Our Lucky Bags contain a random assortment of smaller finds from around Dormouse Wood.

There could also be a few extras that you may find useful. These are likely to include some pieces of dehydrated fruit (prepared by hand in my own kitchen, from locally bought produce). However, the vast majority of your bag’s contents will be from Dormouse Wood.

Lucky Bags are ideal for adding special little touches to your creations without needing to buy a larger pack of a single item. Think of it as virtual foraging.

As the name suggests, the contents of every Lucky Bag will be different and will certainly vary by season. For example, we only collect a small number of hazelnuts and acorns every year, so when they are gone, that’s it until the next autumn. However we will always aim to provide you with a varied selection, including some extra nice bits and pieces.

To give you an idea, you can expected a combination of the following (rarely everything on the list, but there might be some items we haven’t included here):

• Small pieces of dried bark

• Dehydrated fruit slices

• Acorns / acorn cups

• Small pine / fir cones

• Tiny - small sticks

• Little pieces of moss and lichen

• Sweet chestnut cases

• Hazelnuts

• Alder cones (miniature cones, each just a few millimetres long)

• Preserved leaves

• Sprigs of pine, spruce and fir

To give you an indication of the amount of woodland finds you will receive, I use a wooden bowl and fill it to a heaped level. The bowl is 19cm in diameter and 5cm deep.

IMPORTANT: the images you see are representative of what you will receive not the specific items. We will always aim to select an attractive balance of shapes and sizes from what is available, to try and create a pleasing selection for you.

Any decorations shown in images are not included - we do however include the paper bag!
