The amazing shaping - the curves, swirls and detail of this root section - reminds me of a windblown temple on a mountainside.
With its original moss in place the contrast between the pale wood and the soft greens is striking and adds to the impression of movement.
The approximate maximum two sizes of this very irregular piece are 50cm by 50cm.
The root has aged in Dormouse Wood for many years and is delicate. It is unsuitable for use outdoors. Parts will crumble if not treated gently and any work done on it would need a light touch.
If however you think it is perfect just as it is, then it simply needs a home indoors (perhaps on lazy Susan) so you can enjoy the beauty of nature every day.
