Part of The Butterfly House range: inspired by a fusion of the woodland, live butterfly houses and Japanese style.

This has been created as a generously sized gift tag, ready to grace a special parcel. It could easily become a beautiful hanging decoration once the gift has been opened. Ideal for any occasion or time of year, including Christmas.

The base is a chunky piece of dried bark embellished with preserved moss, plus its own original lichen and moss, which is still in place. Due to its weight this tag feels great to handle. It features two dehydrated fruit slices (apple and lime). Each boasts a happily feeding, hand crafted, paper butterfly.

One butterfly is made from Japanese origami paper, bought during a special trip to New York around 16 years ago. The paper carefully was saved until now, when this project finally made it feel appropriate to use it.

The reverse of the piece has a shaped handmade paper message area.
