A circle of Wild honeysuckle which I harvested and created in Dormouse Wood.

As well as having a wonderful and complex form, Honeysuckle has some really lovely symbolic associations. For example, it was traditionally placed near the door of a house to provide luck and protection.

This particular piece comes from a willow tree which has collapsed, along with its massive length of honeysuckle. I spent several hours untangling parts of the vine from its host and using it to make these delicate circles.

Honeysuckle vine makes a lovely and unusual rustic wreath or other circular decoration. Alternatively the vine could be gently unwound to create a length of honeysuckle for many different uses.

This circle is around 50cm in diameter.

IMPORTANT: honeysuckle vine needs to be treated with care once fully dry, as the narrower sections can be delicate.
